An OSPE session was conducted by Dr Kalavathi.L, with six stations as a part of competency based assessment in CISP programme on 20/06/2019

 

 

Conducted successfully the Foundation Course for the I batch of MBBS Students (August 2019 to September 2020) from August 1, 2019 to August 31, 2019.   This included Orientation Programme on 1st August 2019 and White Coat Ceremony on  31st August 2019, the concluding day. The chief guest was  Former Vice Chancellor of RGUHS, Dr. Kantha S. Jadhav

Role plays by the department and students

A role play was played by senior students under the guidance of Dr Kalavathi as a part of foundation course on 05/08/2019 to emphasise the formulation of observational guidelines while conducting Early Clinical Exposure.

As a part of ESIC fortnight programme, Awareness programme on Alzheimers disease was given. A role play under the guidance of Dr Malleshappa and Dr Smitha, Assistant Professor, Dept of Psychiatry was played by 1st MBBS students on 13/03/2020. This was appreciated by one and all and it was touched to the common people in the hospital.

Foundation course activities by the students

Enthusiastic participation of students for the entire Foundation Course, by making Posters, playing a number of role plays, skits, cultural programmes for many sessions and white coat ceremony.

ECE, OSPE, skill certification & integrated teaching for CBME program

The department has so far conducted 7 ECEs, 2 skill certifications, 2 OSPE sessions and 4 integrated teaching sessions for the students upto February 2020.

Department of Pathology

 

  1. 12 Clinicopathological conferences (CPC) were organised and conducted by department of pathology in the year 2019 with a minimum of 3 cases discussed every month.
  2. Attended and presented 6 posters and 4 papers at  annual KAPCON pathology conference from September 19-22, 2019 held at S.N.Medical.college, Bagalkot.

HOD chaired a session in the conference.

  1.  Breast cancer awareness program was organised and conducted on 30.10.2019  with poster presentation by undergraduate students during Breast cancer awareness month (October 2019).
  2. Dr Panduranga C, Dr Deepak Kumar B, Dr Netra M Sajjan attended Molecular biology training programme at Indian institute of science (IISc) in the year 2019 in 3 batches, conducted by RGUHS, Bangalore.  
  3. On the occasion of world blood donors day on 14.06.2019, poster presentation was organised for MBBS students and awareness program for IPs. A total of 14 teams participated and 3 prizes were awarded for the best posters.
  4. 2 Clinicopathological conferences (CPC) were organised and conducted by department of pathology in the year 2020 with a minimum of 3 cases discussed every month.
  5. The IX Annual State level postgraduate pathology quiz organised and  conducted on 31ST January 2020 at ESIC medical college Rajaji nagar in association with KCIAPM. A total of 38 teams (76 students ) participated in the quiz.
  6. As a part of ESIC fortnight celebration, breast and cervical cancer awareness talk was given to IPs by the pathology staff and postgraduate students held in the month of February 2020 .

 

 

Department of Transfusion Medicine

 

Indications clinical use of blood components on 14.06.2019 by Dr. Ankit Mathur, Transfusion specialist and Transplant Immunologist, TTK Blood bank. On the occasion of “World Blood Donors Day”.

Dr.GIRISH.M.BENGALORKAR,   ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

      1. Coordinator for preparation and conduct of RGUHS Final theory exams  at ESIC medical college &PGIMSR ,Rajajinagar  in June and December 2018 .
      2.  Coordinator for preparation and conduct of RGUHS Digital Valuation  for MBBS , Nursing and Post graduate exams  at ESIC medical college &PGIMSR ,Rajajinagar   in July, September  2018 and January 2019 .
      3. Dhanwantari coordinator in ESIC MC &PGIMSR, MODEL HOSPITAL , RAJAJINAGAR which is recording and reporting of patient related health records in ESIC server. It’s a pan India software for recording to patients health records. 
      4. As   government of India ,  Ministry Of Health And Family Welfare  (MOHFW)  has implemented the Digital Mission Mode Project (DMMP).  As part of DMMP, MCI has implemented  the  online faculty monitoring system (OFAMOS) to capture attendance of all faculty in every medical college to bring in transparency and accountability of faculty attendance. – Nodal Officer.
      5.  Nodal officer for  the installation IP based CCTV  at ESIC medical college &PGIMSR ,Rajajinagar . MCI has sent 3 camera and CISCO switch for the purpose of installation at 3 places viz pathology lab, anatomy lecture hall and medicine OPD. Installation of camera has been done under the Digital Mission Mode Project (DMMP) –II project. 
      6.  presently doing the research study titled “ Questionnaire to determine knowledge, attitude and practices towards adverse drug reactions reporting among  interns in ESIC-MC &PGIMSR”
      7. Coordinator for conducting online classes in RGUHS authorized online teaching platforms , ZOOM or medwhiz during the COIVD crisis. Coordinating between students, teachers and administrator for enrolment of students/ educators, streamlining of time tables for each departments, training  with staff for implementation of online platforms, interacting with software medwhiz staff for smooth functioning and removing errors in conducting classes.
      8. Reporting of overall classes taken online from various departments in ESIC-MC &PGIMSR Rajajinagar to RGUHS through Dean sir to RGUHS.

Department of Community Medicine

 

  1. Leprosy Quiz for under-graduates students was organized on 30.2.2019 by the department.

 

  1. Interns posted in the department of Community Medicine are a part of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, “Health Screening of Rural School Children” under the aegis of NSS unit of RGUHS and Divine Mother and Child Health Program in districts of Chickaballpur.

 

  1. The RNTCP core committee along with the Department of Community Medicine had conducted four Sensitization Programme on Revised National TB Control Programme (RNTCP)/ National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) to disseminate the updated national guidelines to all cadre of health staff that included Doctors, paramedical staff and undergraduate students. The programme was conducted on 9th, 17th and 31st May 2019 and on 30th January 2020. The lectures for sensitization programme were delivered by the eminent experts from National Tuberculosis Institute. The programme benefitted nearly 800 personnel of this institute.

 

  1. “SWASTYA ESIC MC COM.MED Quiz 2019” State level Inter-collegiate Community Medicine Quiz for Undergraduate students of Medical Colleges in Karnataka as part of World Health Day celebration was done on Monday, 8th April 2019.

 

  1. CME on “Universal Health Coverage” for Undergraduate students/ Post-graduate students/ faculty of Medical Colleges in Karnataka as part of World Health Day celebration was done on Monday, 8th April 2019.

 

  1. The Department routinely conducts four wellness and one general health camp at the industries where the factory workers are screened for acute and chronic ailments. For the year 2019, nearly 45 wellness and 12 General health camps were conducted.

 

  1. “International Yoga Day celebration” on 21st June 2019 was organized by the department of community medicine for all the undergraduate/ postgraduate students, faculty, office staff and para-medical staff of the institution.

 

  1. Anti-tobacco rally was conducted on 24.12.2019 by the undergraduate students under the aegis of department of community medicine.

 

  1. ESIC Fortnight celebrations: The health check-up camps were carried out in co-ordination with the Regional Office - Bengaluru,  Sub-Regional  office  – Bommasandra,  Sub-Regional  Office  – Peenya from 24th Feb to 10th Mar 2020. Health education activities were also conducted on 24th Feb 2020 on diabetes, 25th Feb 2020 on anaemia and food pyramid by the department.

 

  1. RNTCP quiz for undergraduate students was done on 22nd March 2020 for the occasion of World TB day.

 

  1. “Workshop on disability sensitization” was organized at ESIC-MC & PGIMSR, Rajajinagar on 3rd and 4th of March, 2020 under the guidance of Shri. Basavaraj, State Commissioner for Rights of Persons with Disabilities for doctors of ESIC-MC & PGIMSR, Rajajinagar belonging to different speciality, and ESIS hospital, Indiranagar.

 

  1. Sensitization program on “Prevention and spread of Corona Virus” to all the paramedical staff of the institution to nearly 450 members was conducted on 7th and 8th March 2020.

 

  1. The department is a part of “Special Epidemic Tracking team for COVID-19” towards contract tracing and containment activity for COVID-19 in Subashnagar under BBMP limits since 20.3.2020.

  2. As part of ESIC  Forthnight, CME on “Diabetic Retinopathy Update” was conducted on 28.02.2020.

  • 2. In section "Grievance Detail" select "Others/Not Listed/Not Known"
  • 3. In the "Ministry/Department" Drop Down Select ESIC
  • 4. In "Subordinate Department/Office" select the Regional Office
  • 5. Provide details of the complaint
